Thermocrete 14:1 is our cement bound sand (CBS) product which is used as a bedding and backfill material for underground LV and HV cables. Thermocrete 14:1 has a low thermal resistance and as a result the material can conduct heat, away from the cables that is produced during electricity transmission.
With all the benefits of Thermosand and an improved thermal performance, the product is ideal for applications where extra stability is required. Due to it’s composition Thermocrete can also be removed relatively easily if required. The product is designed to meet the requirements of the industry requirements including ENA TS 97- 1 and NGTS 3.05.07.
Thermocrete Ultra is our high performance specialist thermal conducting concrete which is used as a bedding and backfill material for underground HV and UHV cables. Thermocrete Ultra has a very low thermal resistance and as a result the material can conduct significant amounts of heat, away from the cables, produced during electricity transmission.
