PAV Concrete Mix Designations
PAV (Pavement Quality) concrete mixes are engineered for roadways, pavements, driveways, and areas exposed to heavy traffic loads. These mixes offer superior durability, resistance to wear and freeze-thaw cycles, and enhanced workability due to air-entraining agents (AEA) and water-reducing admixtures (WRA).
PAV1 Concrete
PAV1 Concrete
A durable pavement concrete mix for light-to-medium traffic applications.
Strength & Composition:
- Compressive Strength: Typically 35N/mm² at 28 days
- Cement Content: 325–375 kg/m³
- Special Feature: Air-entraining agent (AEA) for freeze-thaw resistance
- Water-reducing admixture (WRA) for improved workability
- Slump Classes:
- S2 AEA WRA – Standard placement
- S3 AEA WRA – For pumpable applications
Applications:
- Pedestrian walkways & cycle paths – Durable for foot and light vehicle traffic.
