As part of our commitment to innovation and exceeding required sustainability measures, we also offer a range of Sustainable Cement CEM 2 to assist clients in meeting increasingly demanding sustainable construction targets.

Cements
CEMEX supplies a range of general purpose and specialist cements backed by excellent logistics capability, supply network and efficient ordering order processing systems. These include CEMEX CEM 1 (CEMEX Portland) for most traditional concrete uses; CEMEX Rapid for those applications requiring rapid hardening, and CEMEX CEM 2 (EXTRA) for improved workability and finish.

Sustainable Cements
Following extensive investment in research and development, CEMEX was one of the first UK suppliers to provide high performance cements with greatly enhanced environmental credentials. CEMEX CEM 2 (EXTRA) is a high quality, blended cement that uses recycled fly ash reducing CO2 emissions by up to 25% for each tonne produced. CEMEX CEM 2 (EXTRA) provides improved workability and finish together with increased sulphate resistance.

Fly Ash
CEMEX supplies a full range of ash-based products backed by advanced technical support services to meet demanding customer requirements. These range from PFA (Pulverised Fuel Ash) Part 1, EN450, Run of Station Ash, Dry Fine Aggregate to FBA (Furnace Bottom Ash). These materials are used in a variety of applications ranging from cement replacements, fill materials and use as a lightweight aggregate.
