Our Professionals in Development graduate programme is a fast track 12 month rotational programme designed to create the next generation of CEMEX managers. Opportunities are available from September 2008 in the following business functions:
- Materials
- Cement
- Building Products
- Logistics
The programme provides a unique multi-functional understanding of CEMEX business fundamentals through rotations in key business areas. During each rotation you’ll be training and job shadowing with a focus on learning objectives. A mentor from our senior management team is assigned to each graduate at the beginning of the programme and will provide insight and additional guidance. Based in the UK, you will spend the majority of your programme in one of our regions, travelling within that region on a regular basis. One month of the programme is spent training in another European country.
You’ll represent and support the interests of the company so the ability to act as an ambassador for CEMEX is essential. During the 12 months you will build a network within CEMEX as well as sharing your experiences with fellow Professionals in Development.
We’re seeking graduates with a second class degree or higher (achieved or expected) in an Engineering discipline or in Logistics or Supply Chain Management. You’ll need excellent English oral and written communication skills and great interpersonal skills. An analytical mind coupled with commercial instinct is key as is the ability to work as part of a team.
You’ll be someone who dislikes the status quo and will relish the challenge of travelling extensively within one of our UK regions. A driving license and a car (or funds to purchase) is essential to overcome this challenge. A second European language will help you create a successful career within CEMEX. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK without limit of time.
To apply, send your CV to gbrecruitment@cemex.co.uk attaching a cover letter including which business function is of interest.
Closing date is - 14th December 2007
